From July 25th to July 27th and from October 5th to November 3rd, the 25th International Brass Festival Sauerland-Herbst celebrates the variety and deeprooted tradtition of brass music.
Internationally acclaimed artists will perform at this years anniversary to honor the sound of brass away from usual locations as concert halls in major cities. The international Brass-Festival Sauerland-Herbst brings the high art of brass music to the people – in the rural sauerland area, in churches, community centres, townhalls and in summer, for the 3rd time, to the open-air theatre in Arnsberg-Herdringen.
In its 25year long history, the festival hosted 436 concerts, in 131 different locations with artists from 34 different nations. It became a cultural highlight in the sauerland area and is the place to be for all brass enthuiasts in October. It covers all genres of brass music, from classic to jazz, from solo or duo formations to full philharmonic orcestras with well-known soloists and combines it with a long tradition of windbands in the area.
